Dr. Suzie Gasparian is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon. As a Southern California native, she received the Regents Scholarship and graduated Magna Cum Laude honors with a Bachelors of Science in Neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles.
She earned her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine where she received several honors and awards including the Merit Recognition Award and induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She then completed her residency in ophthalmology at Loma Linda University followed by her fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. During her training, Dr. Gasparian was selected as a Retina Rising Star honoree and awarded the Fellow Teaching Award.
Dr. Gasparian is a member of many professional societies and has publications in a multitude of ophthalmic journals. She strives to preserve and restore vision for her patients. Her focus covers all areas of medical and surgical retina including but not limited to complex retinal detachments, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, epiretinal membranes, macular holes, retinal vascular disorders, ocular infections, secondary intraocular lenses, and ocular trauma. She is fluent in English, Armenian, and Spanish. During her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family and golden retriever, watch sports, explore restaurants, and attend concerts.
